Why kids love birthday parties? When we were little girls, me and my sister were very excited every-time we're invited to any kids birthday party. Our brothers were not both excited as we, it was better for them to play 'text cards" or watch Voltes five, Shaider and Bioman. Our mother would buy a dress for us, the same cut of dress but different color and size, of course the smaller was for me.
In our place, you can count the family celebrating their birthdays. Some usually go to church and cooked pancit bihon or canton after. Or sometimes they will go to "HONGKONG Restaurant", the well-known restaurant in our town. This restaurant is owned by a Chinese-Filipino family. Usually they served made to order foods... pancit, noodles or pizza, but my favorite was chicken pie and siopao asado. I remember that we celebrated my youngest brother's first birthday and baptismal, a double celebration. Maybe because my mother is good in handling their hard earned money. With the help of my uncle(Tito Rollie), it turned nice and a big party. We have some pictures of that party but sad to say couldn't see even a single shot of that, and my mother is not good in keeping things such as photos and papers even letters and bills. :D...
I'm so glad that we celebrated Aljohn's birthday with them, they were his' most important visitors. And for all our wonderful family and friends who attended and been part of this celebration, we thank you all for being there and make this one memorable....
